5 October 1945: The 397th Infantry Regiment passes in review at Robinson Barracks near Stuttgart, Germany. The first photo is of the Regimental Drum and Bugle Corps; the second, of Company H at "Eyes Right!" By this time, about half of the men who were with the Division on V-E Day had been reassigned to other units for shipment back to the States, and many of the men wearing the Century Division patch were "low-pointers" from units which had arrived in the ETO late and were destined to remain overseas a little longer.
Photos taken and contributed by Bob Tessmer (I/397th Infantry Regiment)
