16 November 1944. The four 105mm howitzers of Battery B/925th Field Artillery Battalion fire in support of elements of the 399th Infantry Regiment engaged in beating back a German counterattack near Raon L'Etape, France. As part of Combat Team 399, the 925th FA played a crucial part in the regimental combined arms team that also included Company C/325th Engineer Battalion; Company C/325th Medical Battalion; and often, a company of tanks and/or tank destroyers as well.
